President's Message
By: Jim Morrison
Mid-Ohio Corvette Club placed 3rd in the East Ohio Region for the 2011 calender year behind Buckeye and Corvette Cleveland. This was another year in which our membership, although small in number, participated in many NCCC sanctioned events
With the club's second annual charity for the Christian Children's Home of Ohio in Wooster now behind us, an even more successful event transpired. With much time, patience, hard work and cooperation from all members we were able to present the CCHO with more than $8,000. We now can look forward into 2012 when on Aug. 25, 2012 the charity event will once again take place.
Our donation for two children to participate in the Wayne-Holmes Soap Box Derby was another event that members attended. Smiles on their two faces showed happiness, though not winners in the derby, they were still winners to us.
Our club attempts to have a social get together every month. Our Christmas social for 2011 was at the Skyway East Restaurant near Mansfield. Members also enjoyed La Pizzeria, the Regional Banquet at the Holiday Inn in North Canton, Marie's in Wadsworth and an all day Lake Erie boat ride on the Good Time III.
MOCC hosted a Lodi Outlet Mall Day of Car Shows and then a Rally starting at Panera Bread in Wooster and ending at Fiore's Italian Restaurant. In 2012 we will be hosting another day at the Lodi Station Outlet Mall on and an autocross event. The Christian Children’s Home of Ohio event for 2012 will be hosted on Aug. 25.
Even with all the rain in 2011 we still found time to go out and play with our toys.
Yours truly,
Jim Morrison
